It is an absolute honor to have been elected as the President of the CT Association of Housing Code Enforcement Officials for the 2022-2024 term. Last year CAHCEO celebrated it’s 50th anniversary and I look forward to leading this organization into it’s next half a century. The last two years have been anything but normal for our world in general and definitely unprecedented for the code enforcement industry.  Many of us did not have the ability to work from home as our work is essential to the lives of the residents we serve on a daily basis. I want to personally thank you all for consistently showing up and doing the work that needs to get done to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the people of Connecticut.

I am happy we are back to in-person meetings and I, along with our board, will continue to bring relevant training and be a resource to you and your careers. We will continue to strengthen our relationships with the other International Code Council (ICC) organizations in the state, the CT Building Officials Association (CBOA), and the CT Fire Marshals Association (CFMA). I want to thank our Board for the hard work they do behind the scenes to make CAHCEO an elite professional organization. I would also like to thank our members because without you we would not have an organization. I encourage you to reach and get involved and provide us feedback on how we can make CAHCEO even better.

To another amazing 50 years!

With my warmest regards,

Frank Alvarado Jr., CCEO

President, CAHCEO
